What is quartz ?
What is the difference between quartz composite (i.e. quartz) and granite ? Its composition. Quartz slabs are made of more than 90% quartz crystals to which is added a mixture of polymer-based resin and colour pigments. The durability and resistance of the finished product is highly similar to those of granite.
Why pick quartz over granite ? For individual taste. Basically, quartz manufacturers are able to provide finer grain materials that are more consistent in terms of colour and grain dispersion. These products are now available in a large selection of colours.
Quartz can be used to fabricate : countertops, fireplace mantels, bath surrounds, shower bases, vanities and other types of furniture. Based on past experience, we find that outdoor installation is not advisable.
We transform and install the following brand names : Caesarstone, Hanstone, Samsung, SantaMargherita, Silestone and Zodiaq as well as our housebrand Quartz Plus.
